This was a really easy spread, using a new ingredient that I’d not tried before Umeboshi Plum Paste. The paste was really expensive, £4.50 for the jar, but the recipes in this book that call for it only tend to use 1 Tbsp at a time so it should hopefully last a good while.
The spread was really herby and went well on crackers, toast and riveta for lunches. I will make this again in the future and try it with crudites and different types of crackers. The recipe also says that you can use it on pasta or baked potatoes which would be worth a go too.
